Alvaro Petritoli's intricate work is based on his fascination with aspects of the every day; emotions, observations and thoughts.

His carefully studied miniatures convey half forgotten memories through a variety of abstract forms, text and recognisable imagery on various scales. Petritoli incorporates his daily experiences into his paintings influenced by poetry, film, music and excerpts from the radio. These are then recorded and captured in his beautifully illustrated paintings.

Each piece involves the careful combination of mixed media such as ink, bleach, pastels, watercolour and acrylic onto a range of different paper finishes, creating a collection of ethereal mementoes.
