Inspired by the movement and short life span of butterflies, Petr has attempted to portray a captured moment. Effortless motions erratic yet graceful, drifting in the sky high above the earth below.

Petr Weigl's distinctive works resemble a slice of history that has been fossilized in stone. Each piece is created by pouring concrete into a custom made mould; pigment or additional sculptural elements can be added at this stage, an intricate process which is highly dependent on precise timings.

By applying contemporary design philosophies to ancient mediums, he captures the power and beauty of natural forms. Petr's work changes character throughout the day as the light moves across the surface of the moulded concrete. Each piece is individually crafted and finished, bearing the Petr Weigl wax seal of quality and authenticity.
