Stuart Redler (Apt 31)

Inspiration

Originally from Somerset, Stuart Redler started in advertising, photographing campaigns for high profile multinational such as Volvo, IBM and Deutsche Bank. Stuart�s taste for travel to far flung places such as Namibia and Saudi Arabia has cultivated his talent for capturing unusual architecture, quirky people and bizarre facets of nature.

Technique

The unexpected and sometimes humorous subject matter, combined with the intense contrasts of black and white and use of strong light, give his pictures their stark and unique style.

Collections

As well as appearing in numerous private collections, his work is in the permanent collection at the National Portrait Gallery and has been exhibited at the Victoria and Albert Museum. His work has also appeared in many publications such as The Daily Telegraph, the Independent on Sunday and Tatler. Stuart has received many awards, including six from The Association of Photographers, who awarded him a Gold for his portfolio of architectural images. He has also received awards from Graphis, PDN and Communication Arts among others.
